S4 Over Bar Farms Ltd. - Bow Island, Alberta

I have used Penergetic products since 2017 when I started with Pen K on alkali land and a half circle of pintos. I had very good success on the pintos, including setting new area yield record.

I have seen big N spikes after the beans when Penergetic products are used.

I did a trial on Great Northern where no fertilizer was applied, 20lbs N fertigated on, applied Pen K and Pen P. I then did a yield check of 3360 lbs/ac and 3350 lbs/ac, respectively.

I have noticed soil getting mellower, with better water infiltration.

As part of that result, we planted 2022 sugar beets on min-till land. No root development issues and no water ran off the field, even with dammer diking it.

Used a mixture of Pen P&K on hailed beans to aid the recovery. Come windrowing and combining times, the worst areas of hail-damaged beans were not noticeable.

I have trimmed back on fertilizer some, and still very happy with the yield results.

In crop spraying, I add Pen P to most of my spray loads with no problem with mixing or the effectiveness of the chemical. I now do fall application of Pen k to the soil. I have also do this in the spring if time is a factor in the fall.

As time moves forward, there can be a balance between fully relying on synthetic fertilizers to produce a profitable crop to using a more balanced approach of products to feed the soil, which then feeds us.

Using a combination of Penergitic Products is an important part of finding that balance and feeding the soil, which is our lively hood.

Gouw Naturals: What was the result of the field trial in 2022?

Client: Through field trials, I have found that the use of penergetic has not only helped soil structure but also water holding capacity and thus a better crop.

Gouw Naturals: Would you recommend penergetic and why?

Client: Yes I would recommend this penergetic. It has helped on my soils to become more mellow; plants have a better ability to take up more nutrients and water. I have applied Penergetic k at high rates in the fall and noticed that it has helped weaken the Canadian thistle. The crops are also more resilient and healthier.
